Will Ned Stark return to 'Game of Thrones'?

Sean Bean left a big mark on television this past spring, taking on the role of Lord Eddard ?Ned? Stark in ?Game of Thrones,? and he would leap at the opportunity to come back to the series.

?Yeah, I loved it,? he told Access Hollywood at the 2011 Scream Awards over the weekend in Los Angeles. ?It was a fantastic time for me and it was a really ambitious project by HBO, and all the guys involved ? the producers, the directors, the actors. It was a wonderful experience, and hopefully ... I think I am in flashbacks in the books.?

In George R.R. Martin?s series, ?A Song of Ice and Fire,? the littlest Stark ? Rickon ? actually claims to have seen his father in the family?s under-Winterfell tomb ? after King Joffrey beheaded Lord Stark.

While the time for that scene may have already passed, there are other moments set to occur in the upcoming continuation of the series (like ones with Jamie Lannister) that could open the door for flashbacks with Bean?s character. However, the actor isn?t ready to ask his old bosses ? producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who reportedly have said there won?t be flashbacks ? to make it happen.

?I?ll let them come to me,? he laughed.

Bean has another series in the works ? this time for ABC, with co-star Ashley Judd.

?I?ve been doing another show called ?Missing? in Prague and Croatia,? Bean said of the thriller, expected to air next year on the network. ?I?ve finished that now.?
